Michael Z
Ever since he first tumbled into Dance Jam sometime towards the end of the last century, Michael Z's body-heart has been broken/open by the power of music to move, enrich and awaken.
Since then, his love of movement and music has drawn him through the needle's eye of focused practice in a variety of conscious dance practices, including 5Rhythms and especially Soul Motion.
Mentored by Vinn Marti and Zuza Engler, Michael completed the teacher training in Soul Motion in early 2009, and was certified to teach the practice in 2010.
On Thursday evenings in Eighth Street Studio (Boogie's home), he offers The Ocean Refuses No River, a weekly class in Soul Motion movement practice, and teaches regularly with music and presence in Nevada City, Sebastopol and elsewhere.
